Ritract safety syringe was first envisenged by Dr Bruce Ingram, who engaged the services of Berry Design to further develop his concept of a safe, easy to use safety syringe. A range of 1ml, 3ml, 5ml & 10ml safety syringes were designed, 3D CAD modelled & prototyped and tested fully before commencing multi-cavity tooling capable of making 64 parts in one injection moulding cycle.

The Ritract safety syringe attracted much attention, and was floated on the Australian stock exchange in 2007 to take the idea worldwide. Today the syringe is distrubuted through Qstat.
